Installation and Maintenance Guide for Hot Dip Galvanized Water Tanks
1. Installation points
Basic and spatial requirements
Before installation, the civil foundation construction must be completed to ensure that the foundation is flat and the bearing capacity meets the standard, with a horizontal error of ≤ 0.5cm.
A maintenance channel of ≥ 70cm should be reserved between the box and the wall, and a space of ≥ 50cm should be reserved at the top and bottom of the box for later maintenance.
Box fixing and connection
The surroundings and bottom plate of the water tank should be firmly in contact with the foundation to avoid hanging or tilting.
Use sealing materials (such as rubber gaskets) and fasteners at the connection of the plates to ensure a tight and leak free joint.
Installation of pipelines and valves
The inlet and outlet pipes, as well as the discharge pipes, need to be connected through flanges or flexible joints to avoid direct welding and damage to the galvanized layer.
After installation, the water outlet pipe needs to be closed, filled with water and observed for 24 hours to confirm that there is no leakage before it can be put into use.
2. Maintenance precautions
Regular inspection
Check the welding seams, sealing strips, and bolt fastening of the box every year, and promptly repair rusted or loose parts.
Focus on checking the sealing of pipeline interfaces and valves to prevent wear and leakage caused by long-term use.
Cleaning and rust prevention
Thoroughly clean the interior before first use to eliminate impurities; It is recommended to clean it every six months when storing water for a long time.
If the galvanized layer is locally worn, it is necessary to promptly apply anti rust paint to avoid exposure and oxidation of the metal substrate.
External protection
Avoid stacking heavy objects or conducting impact operations on the top of the water tank to prevent deformation of the box.
Stay away from corrosive chemicals or high-temperature heat sources to extend the lifespan of the galvanized layer.
